Member since : Spring 2003

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Technology
Profession: Share Point Engineer/Network Administrator
The Georgia Department of Community Health

Since my matriculation at Savannah State University graduating in May 2006 as the President’s Second Mile Award Recipient and honor student, I am currently at the threshold of my career presently pursuing a Masters degree from Georgia State University in Computer Science Technology with a concentration in Data Mining and E-Commerce.

Currently, as the sole SharePoint Administrator/Systems Administrator in the Information Technology Infrastructure Division with the Georgia Department of Community Health, I am greatly enjoying the challenges my role has to offer. In this unique position, I work collaboratively with talented IT professionals in the development of a virtual network environment. SharePoint is used to build project management, workflow development, form tracking, and internal websites. These websites are effective as they continue to enhance business processes throughout the agency.

I am blessed to also display creativeness and a designer’s touch as the Owner and Lead Designer of In2Design. In2Design is a web design and creative works firm that specializes in implementing ways to build a company’s’ dream website. Cliental ranges from law firms to local churches. By investing and building this company from the ground up, I have been able to become a pioneer within the Decatur community. Not only does In2Design design websites, we also give back to the community by sponsoring Graphic Design Workshops to inner-city youth at no charge.

As a SharePoint Administrator and Business Owner, I have learned about software and hardware requirements at all levels, but the most valuable thing that I’ve learned is determination. My technical acumen, strong personality, and ability to diffuse the tensions of stressed end clients has contributed to effective communication, problem analysis, and technical resolutions from common to complex in nature. These attributes contribute to effectiveness when enforcing policies and procedures. My determination leads me to know that this is not my destination, more is to come.

In my spare time I enjoy volunteering my services to the Decatur Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. serving on the executive board as the Technology Chair and a member of the Delta GEMS committee. I have been awarded the distinguish honor of being named “Soror of the Month- Purity”. This honor has been a complete blessing. I also enjoy my role with the SSUNAA South Dekalb Perimeter Chapter as Secretary and Web Mistress in efforts of giving back to the university, all that was given to me… “ the faith knowing that I can get anywhere from the college by the sea”. I love traveling and spending time with my fiancé, family, friends, and line sisters.

After spending two and a half years at SSU as the Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach in the Athletics Department and the Administrative Assistant in Office of Career Services, Chrissy was promoted to Career Advisor where she assisted both students and alumni with their career preparation.  During this time she went on to further her education at Georgia Southern University by obtaining a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration in December of 2007.  After transitioning from SSU, Chrissy joined the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) as a Career Development Specialist.  At SCAD, she assists freshman and sophomore level students within the Schools of Design; Fashion; and Film, Digital Media, & Performing Arts with preparing for their professional careers.
